Chateau Montrose,2ème Grand Cru Classé, Saint Estèphe, Bordeaux, 2016 Tasting notes

Chateau Montrose (19+ points)
[68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 7% Cabernet Franc]

Deep dark concentrated purple color. On the nose there is a superb bouquet of fresh fruit, clear and well-defined. Some hints of mocha. Beautiful purity and depth of fruit. Indeed very pure. A superb freshness and a stunning balance. Exemplary tannic structure worthy of a great Saint Estèphe. Fruit, tannins and freshness; all elements are here for the long term. Great density and I look forward to drink this wine after a couple of years of cellaring.
